Doctoral candidate Lina Murillo received a dissertation completion fellowship for the 2015-16 academic year from the American Association of University Women. Her dissertation is titled, “Birth Control on the Border: Race, Gender, Religion and Class in the Making of the Birth Control Movement, El Paso, Texas, 1936-2009.”
