Christina Convertino, Ph.D., assistant professor of socio-cultural foundations at The University of Texas at El Paso, has received the Concha Delgado Gaitan Presidential Fellows Award from the American Anthropological Association’s Council of Anthropology and Education. The honor recognizes junior scholars whose research demonstrates potential for an outstanding career in the field of educational anthropology.
The organization presented the award to Convertino during its annual conference in Washington, D.C. Convertino has worked at the University since 2014.
