Work On Three Key Projects Continue

Contractors continue working on three key projects that are part of The University of Texas at El Paso’s Campus Transformation. Spur 1966 crews prepare the columns that will support the road that will carry traffic between Paisano Drive and Schuster Avenue. Workers are finishing the underground burial of utility and service lines in some areas of Centennial Plaza while in others rough grading phase has begun. The new lanes along Sun Bowl Drive should be operational in time for the May 17 Spring Commencement. The goal of the projects is to create a safer, more pedestrian-friendly inner campus with easier vehicle access around the 420-plus acre campus and into the surrounding residential and business areas.
