Contractors are busy with smaller projects to complete the south side of the Centennial Plaza by its grand opening Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. They include the gas hook up and testing of the fire pits and fire rings, testing emergency switches, the planting of 20-foot tall mesquite trees and the completion of the bridge that goes over the arroyo near the Liberal Arts Building and Union Building West. Some workers will begin to install the new signage while others will fill in the cracks between the recycled sidewalk pathways with gravel fill.
