Discover El Paso Association presented Dennis Woo, operations director at KTEP-FM (88.5), with its Professional Award during the group’s annual luncheon Sept. 22, 2015, at the El Paso Country Club. The broadcaster was recognized for his efforts to promote the El Paso music scene and his work to mentor El Paso’s young musicians.
Woo was praised for his ability to inform and entertain as host of Morning Jazz, 9 a.m. to noon weekdays on KTEP. The native El Pasoan has worked in media since he earned his bachelor’s degree in mass communication from The University of Texas at El Paso in 1976.
