Executive Center I-10 Ramp Closure to Impact Westbound Traffic

The westbound Executive Center Boulevard entrance ramp to Interstate 10 will be closed indefinitely starting at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015, so Texas Department of Transportation crews can install concrete barriers.

The closure is needed to begin construction of frontage roads along the interstate from Mesa Street east to Executive Center. This will impact travel by students, staff and faculty at The University of Texas at El Paso and patrons of the campus’ athletic and entertainment venues who use that ramp to travel to the West Side. Travelers leaving UTEP who would normally use the westbound entrance to I-10 at Executive Center Drive are advised to enter I-10 from the University Avenue roundabout instead.

The project also will include improvements to existing interchanges at Mesa, Sunland Park Drive and Executive Center and reconstruction of on-ramps at Resler and Sunland Park drives. The work is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
