A 50-ton crane will be set on the south side of Kelly Hall near Sun Bowl Drive the week of Nov. 10 and used to erect a new stairwell leading to the southern face of the building. It eventually will be enclosed. The project is among the renovations planned for the 44-year-old building that was a dorm before becoming office and classroom space. Contractors already have started to renovate the building’s fifth floor.
