The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are sponsoring the launch party and regional connect where attendees will learn about UTEP’s SBIR/STTR initiatives, funding opportunities and connect with regional small businesses.

“This is an invaluable opportunity for attendees,” said Robert Osegueda, Ph.D., UTEP vice president for research. “Collaboration and funding are two critical components in launching new business or advancing research. We hope to do both with this first-of-its kind meeting on campus.”

Paula Taylor, program director at the U.S. Army Material Command, Chief Technology Office, will be the keynote speaker over lunch. Afternoon sessions include presentations from the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and The Hub of Human Innovation.

There is no cost to attend. Interested attendees are asked to RSVP to www.universe.com/utep-sbirsttr-launchparty.
