Faculty and staff who have been awarded new research grants since December 2014 will be recognized at a Research Forum hosted by The University of Texas at El Paso’s Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP).

The forum will include a panel discussion about two new resources for researchers that are offered by the UT System and UTEP.

Developed by UTEP’s Cyber-ShARE Center of Excellence and ORSP, the Expertise Connector serves as an online portal that users can use to get to know the diverse group of researchers and centers that make up the University. The UT System’s new online tool, INFLUUENT, which will be available in May 2015, provides worldwide visibility of faculty and academic staff by highlighting their publications and expertise. The site was created to foster new partnerships with industries and facilitate research and grant collaborations across multi-disciplinary teams.

The panel discussion will be led by the UT System Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives Stephanie A. Bond Huie, Ph.D., and UTEP Chair of Computer Science Ann Gates, Ph.D.
