The southwest corner of University Avenue and Oregon Street will be closed for construction starting Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, so contractors with the El Paso Streetcar Project can work on sidewalks and ADA ramps. Vehicular traffic will not be impacted.
The project is expected to last one week. Once completed, the crews will close the northwest corner of the intersection to do similar work on sidewalks and ADA ramps there. Signs in the construction area will alert pedestrian and ADA traffic.
Construction of the El Paso Streetcar Project is being managed by the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority (CRRMA).
