Work crews will close the intersection of University Avenue and Wiggins Road to vehicular traffic starting Thursday, July 3, to complete the installation of vital utility lines. The intersection will remain closed until Monday, August 11. Contractors need to replace water and gas lines prior to the aboveground work for the Centennial Plaza. University Avenue will be closed on the eastern edge of the Geological Sciences Building and Wiggins will be shut down north of the entrance to the IC-1 parking lot behind the Administration Building. Pedestrians will still have access to the area during construction.
