Laura Uribarri has been named assistant dean for academic programs for the College of Business Administration at The University of Texas at El Paso. For the past eight years, she served as director and later assistant dean for UTEP’s MBA Programs. Previously, Uribarri was vice president of the Government Relations Division of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce before joining Mayor Joe Wardy’s administration at the City of El Paso. Following her appointment in the mayor’s office, Uribarri joined El Paso Electric as their Senior Government Affairs Representative in Austin.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from Stanford University and a Master of Public Affairs from the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin.
