UTEP, ADP Collaborate on New Business Academy

Representatives from The University of Texas at El Paso and ADP will promote the ADP HCM (Human Capital Management) Academy at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, in the first floor lobby of UTEP’s Business Administration Building. The academy, which launches in fall 2016, was created to help interested University students expand their knowledge of practice and theory of HCM, the concept where investment in employees could unlock their potential and build a better workforce.

College of Business Administration faculty and ADP management have developed the curriculum for the academy that also will include a speaker series, real-world applications, and discussions of corporate experiences. ADP will provide human and technological resources to the academy, which will be housed in UTEP’s Business Administration Building.

Students can earn an academic certificate through their participation. Some graduates may earn full-time jobs or a paid internship at ADP, which provides HCM software and services to more than 630,000 businesses in more than 100 countries.
The academy “is a natural extension of our already strong relationship” with UTEP, said Terry McGreehan, vice president and general manager of ADP in El Paso. “Our mutual commitment to the talented and skilled people of the El Paso community can only mean greater long-term success for students of UTEP and associates of ADP.”
