EL PASO, TEXAS – The UTEP football team is headed to the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. The Miners (7-5, 5-3 C-USA) will face Utah State (9-4, 6-2 MWC) on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 12:20 p.m. at University Stadium in Albuquerque. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.
Tickets are $40 and will go on sale Monday at 8 a.m. by calling (915) 747-6150.

This will be UTEP’s 14th bowl appearance and second trip to the New Mexico Bowl (2010). Utah State is making its 10th bowl appearance and fourth consecutive. This is Utah State’s first berth in the New Mexico Bowl.
It marks the third meeting between the Miners and the Aggies and the first since 1961. Utah State leads the series 2-0.
UTEP has been designated as the home team for the New Mexico Bowl.
The team hotel is the Albuquerque Marriott, 2101 Louisiana Boulevard in Albuquerque (phone 505-881-6800). There will be a UTEP Alumni Association hospitality welcome table at the hotel on Friday, Dec. 19 from 12-4 p.m.

– UTEP Alumni Association Tailgate Party, 9:30-11:45 a.m., North Parking Lot at University Stadium – food, fun and giveaways with appearances from the UTEP marching band, cheerleaders and Paydirt Pete
