UTEP College of Business Administration Receives AACSB Accreditation

EL PASO, Texas – The University of Texas at El Paso’s College of Business Administration AACSBNachtmann accreditation has been reaffirmed.

The accreditation is renewable every five years. Fewer than 5 percent of business schools worldwide have earned the prestigious designation from AACSB, and UTEP’s College of Business Administration is the only AACSB-accredited business school in the El Paso-Juárez region.

The yearlong accreditation review process requires compelling evidence of the college’s innovations, impact and engagement in accordance with the business college’s mission of providing advanced business education for the Paso del Norte region.

“If you went through our accreditation documents, you’d see that this college is specifically concerned about not just the academic growth of its students, but their professional growth and the type of professional and work experiences that they will receive while they’re at this college,” said College of Business Administration Dean Robert Nachtmann, DBA. “Our students not only have academic skills, but they’ve had a breadth of experiences with industry leaders from across the country.”

AACSB is the longest serving global association dedicated to advancing management education worldwide. AACSB accredits 755 of the world’s best business schools across 51 countries and territories.

Eighty-six percent of AACSB-accredited schools say AACSB Accreditation Standards are the most stringent compared to other accreditations they hold.
