Top Management Degrees, an online site for information about business and management education, recently selected The University of Texas at El Paso’s College of Business Administration and its Master of Business Administration program as among the Top 20 in Texas.

The college and MBA ranked #17 and #19, respectively, on the list that was based on price, prestige, location and accreditation.

The publication points out the college’s high points, such as networking opportunities, the low tuition costs compared to the high post-graduation pay, and the accreditations to include the AACSB, the gold standard in business education.

As for the MBA program, the feature mentions the concentrations in finance, economics, marketing, management, international business, business informatics for healthcare, operations and supply chain management, and organizational behavior and resource management.

Robert Nachtmann, DBA, dean of the College of Business Administration, said it was nice to be included in the rankings. While grateful, he said their importance was how they motivate faculty and staff, and reinforce to them how their work on behalf of the college and our students in our undergraduate and MBA programs bears fruit.

“Our aspirations are to be ranked among the Top 10,” Nachtmann said. “We look forward to that.”
