The SR Education Group, an education research publisher, included The University of Texas at El Paso on its list of 2016 Top Military Friendly Online Colleges. The top schools were based on military culture, online support, financial aid and flexibility.

Special kudos went to the staff of UTEP Connect, the institution’s collection of fully online graduate and undergraduate degree plans created to benefit the nontraditional students who cannot attend classes on campus for business, personal or geographic reasons.

Beth Brunk-Chavez, Ph.D., interim dean of Extended University, which oversees UTEP Connect, said the University was pleased to receive this recognition from the SR Education Group.

“The work of our student recruitment and success teams in collaboration with the Military Student Success Center and the academic programs that deliver 100 percent online degrees is focused on student learning and success,” Brunk-Chavez said. “We know that many military students are able to complete their education through online degrees, and UTEP is proud to serve these students.”
