Contractors are working on two silt basins that will help direct water around the Centennial Plaza. They are located near the UTEP Dinner Theatre and the lhakhang cultural center. Both had to be excavated to remove debris from the recent rains. Crews are planting trees and constructing water channeling acequias near the lhakhang. They also are installing more light poles around the Geological Sciences Building.
